Here's how!

Expressions of interest for Enrolment in 2025 are now open. This is the first step in our enrolment process.

Year 1 - Year 6 Enrolment

We welcome the enrolment of students in levels other than Foundation and have limited spaces available across our school.

The process for enrolment at Lumen Christi is for families to contact our administration and leadership team to organise a learning walk and discuss your application further prior to submitting an online enrolment form.

We welcome Catholic and non-catholic students and their families who share or respect our Catholic faith, values and traditions. Catholic education is supported by State and Federal funding, with families contributing the balance of the cost of educating their children.

Often people think a Catholic school education may be too expensive and difficult to fit into the household budget.

We work with our families to make an education at Lumen Christi as affordable as possible, recognising at times, some families are unable to meet their commitment to the full costs of education.

As a Catholic school system, we ensure fee relief mechanisms are available to support families in time of need. We encourage these discussions on enrolment or as these needs emerge.

A full fee costs around $50 a week ($10 a day).

That is less than $2 per school hour!

FEE SCHEDULE 2024:

TUITION LEVY

This levy is charged to each family and remains the same regardless of the number of children you have in our school. This fee is to assist in meeting the shortfall in government funding to allow us to meet our running costs.

Tuition Fee $1000 per family, per year

SCHOOL CAPITAL FEE

A levy of $380 per family, per year (finalised amount of this levy is set in November each year) is set to assist with loan repayments on the school and to create a financial resource to make provision for future capital expenditure.

STUDENT LEVY

An all-inclusive levy is charged per child at the beginning of the year. This levy covers purchase of classroom requisites and other classroom costs throughout the year e.g. books, library, art and craft etc, as well as the school swimming intensive fee. This provides the classes with what they need, saves you inconvenience and reduces costs generally. The cost of this fee is decided in each yearly budget and our aim is always to keep this as low as possible.

Student Levy F-Year 6 $520 per child

CHROMEBOOK FEE - (Grades 3-6) $100 per year for Grades 3,4,5 and 6

NOTE: on completion of Grade 6, and full payment of our Chromebook Levy, students will take their Chromebooks with them when they leave Lumen Christi.

2024 Fee for one student = $2000 (excl camp fee)

The Big Day Out (Grades Foundation, 1 and 2) and School camp costs (Grades 4 and 6) are billed in addition to the above fees.

We have a number of ways to support the affordability of sending your child/ren to a Catholic school:

Payment plans

Choose the payment frequency that best suits your situation - weekly, fortnightly, monthly, termly, annually.

Family Fee Assistance Scheme

The Diocese of Ballarat through the Catholic Education Office offers a Family Fee Assistance Scheme to assist families to send their children to Catholic primary schools.

The scheme is available to families eligible for a means tested Health Care Card, Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card or Veteran Affairs Pensioner Card. This scheme reduces the cost of the Family Fee and Capital Fee to a maximum of $520 per year.
